Want to help but don't have time to recycle with us?  Not a problem!  You can still make a difference and help send kids to camp!  

Did you know?  
Camp is completely volunteer run!  We have many generous adult volunteers who take a week of vacation to teach or to chaperone.  There are also many who work throughout the year to organize and prepare for camp.  And, still others who spend the year finding us donations in-kind  for things like snacks and supplies.  This dramatically reduces the overall cost of camp.  What we do have to pay for with real money is room and board for campers, chaperones, and instructors -  divided out per camper, the cost of camp is $325.

Get creative with your gift!
​Match redemption amounts earned at a muster and inspire our community to reach even higher!
 Want to show you care about the environment and fife and drum camp?  Offer to match the amount the Green Team earns from collecting cans and bottles at a muster.  Not only are you doing a good thing for the earth and camp, it is great incentive for the Green Team during redemption time.  You are guaranteed to hear cheers all around if you tell this crew that you're going to meet their labor with a match!
Donate supplies or equipment!
  • Clear plastic bags to hand out at DRAM camping entrance: these can be any kind of clear plastic bag, big enough to capture the average tent site’s worth of cans & bottles 
  • Clear plastic bags for racks: very specific needs (learned the hard way over the years!) clear plastic 33 gallon (dimensions 33X39), low-density, weight 2 mil
  • Recycle Racks: we use Folding Trash Bag Stands from Harbor Freight Tools item number 90430 - it's essential to our operations to have these all identical to each other.  
  • Recycle Lids:  ¼ inch Luan cut to 18 inch by 18 inch squares with a hole saw in the center; a lip (so the lid will hold the wire rack on which it stands) with 1 inch X 1 inch pine in 8 inch pieces long, affixed 4 inch on center of each side; glue and reinforce those pieces with ¾ inch screws, 2 per piece/side.  Contact us with any questions or ideas.
